Halloween Candy

I have done really good at avoiding the Halloween candy until Friday night. Now, thanks to the ward trunk or treat, my house has candy everywhere! It is all bite size and easy to steal out of unsuspecting children's bags. Help!!!

  1. Candy is my weakness!!! I'm nervous for this week due to the abundance of candy that will be around the house! We haven't had our ward trunk-or-treat so we don't have candy in the house yet. I don't plan on buying the Halloween candy to pass out until Halloween. In fact, I'm making my husband stop on his way home from work to pick up candy to pass out so that I don't eat the whole bag before those little trick or treaters even make their appearance at my door Wednesday night!
What is my plan of attack when my little monsters arrive home Wednesday night with all the temptations to sabatoge my diet???? Well, a few ideas for you! I'm going to make sugar free jello to have on hand. I'm making some sugar free chocolate pudding to have on hand in case of a moment of weakness! Both with fat free whip cream. Those both have to be better than downing 20 candy bars!!!
Lastly, I'm going to let my boys eat as much candy as they want on Halloween night. THEN, I will offer to BUY their candy from them! Yes, you heard me right! BUY their candy from them and send their candy with my husband to work for his office to enjoy and so it's NOT in MY HOUSE to tempt me!!!! Now, my boys have been eyeing toys like crazy lately and if I offer them $20 bucks to give up their candy, I guarantee they do it! My sister has done this with her kids for the past 2 or 3 years. Her kids love it! LOL Besides, if they eat themselves crazy on Halloween night, I don't mind trying to save some dentist bills down the road by not dragging out the Halloween candy for the next few weeks!
There is my plan of attack! May be of some use to you.....maybe not. Hopefully something will help!
Good luck! You look amazing, Erika!!!!! :)

    1. We actually have bought our kids candy from them for several years. It does work great and my kids love to pick out toys instead of having a ton of candy. I give them a sandwich bag that they get to pick thier favs out and keep and then the rest goes to school with Shawn. So there is still some in the house but not much and I feel a little more guilty stealing their candy were there is only a small amount.
